Another old dog here (31), good to see there are more of us over 30’s looking forward to it all.
I understand that although AFCOs are closed an alternative telephone number will soon be specified in the AFCO's telephone voice mail message.
Apparently plans are in place for AFCOs to function remotely but obviously this may take a few days to action.
If there is any significant updates it is likely that we will re-broadcast them on the forum.
Has anyone purchase the Sean Lerwill 'Pass PRMC Book'? If so is it worth buying?
Pass the PRMC Guide is good, I would definitely recommend it
I'm 31 also. Got my interview (by phone) on Tuesday.
It'll be my second attempt at RT
Had a stress fracture and bottled it after a few months in hunter, 5 years ago now.
I'll be 32 next month.
We should try to get into the same troop.
It'd be like an episode of dad's army!
Get in 4 old dogs in one prmc that's more like it. Yea be good to get in the same troop for sure! Hoping they don't keep us waiting much longer.
Sorry, misunderstanding. I'm not on this Prmc. Just saw all the posts about oldies joining up and thought I'd say hello.
Good luck though. Hope it goes ahead!
There was a guy on my first PRMC, he was 35! Ex Army reserves, going for Royal Marines reserves he had an age waiver obviously.
HAs anyone had an update? I was contacted by member of the PRMC team (i think) and they talked about the pjft+. Anyone else heard?
yeah, did they send you the email yet with the exercises?
I was also booked on to this prmc but havnt heard anything of it being cancelled yet. Havnt got any communication through my afco since December. Got booked into it through my detachment. I'm going for RMR.
Yea, i have mine booked for 9:00 this wednesday.
How did you get on? Passed mine this morning.
Well done. What was it like? And what’s happening next?
good thanks mate. Passed anyways. Basically as this is a trial if they decide to go ahead with this we will get a date attend 4 weeks at Lymptone. IF we pass those 4 weeks we will progress onto foundation.
If the choose to change the vPJFT+ they we will have to sit under these new conditions.
We will find out within 2 weeks on their decision.
Are you sitting one?
No, I haven’t heard anything, since I was told this PRMC was cancelled. Just a waiting game now, we’ll see what happens.
Yea! it good that they are looking at moving this forward. Spoke to my CA earlier and he said they really want to start training again asap so fingers crossed.
Another oldie here at 30, will be a lot older by the time the virus is gone! Not even done PJFT yet.
