Good spot. I reckon someone else will be going for a swim tomorrow in Lympstone.

The candidates re taking the swim test is that all they all they have to re take ? Or do they have to replicate all of day 2 again then the swim test ?

Ninja, Do you have the failure breakdown report, to see if it is any different than normal given the higher % of failures

As soon as I can get onto a PC I'll upload it. My phone won't convert it to pdf and the site won't accept Word.docx uploads.

Do you reckon there’s a reason for the increase in BFT fails ? Or just down to unprepared candidates ?

It has to be down to preparation. I can't speak for everyone but it may have something to do with the BFT standards becoming easier. Younger lads may look upon the minimum and reduce training because of it.

I'm certainly no expert, but as ever, people will naturally target the threshold standard to achieve a pass rather than train beyond that so there's a bit more in the tank. The VO2 is also before the BFT now, so I imagine that also has a greater impact.

Silly question but I take it thats the whole RMFA done before the BFT?

And out of curiosity, i havent kept up to date with this forum for a few months, have the scores changed much? Or PRMC as a whole?

When I last witnessed a PRMC in CTC (June) the Vo2 and RMFA were before the BFT. Do I win a prize for the most acronyms in a sentence ? ;)

The impression I got was that the course is deliberately chopped and changed so that you are never 100% certain what comes next. I'm back at CTC twice next month, if I can find out more I shall.

I've heard a few people say the run back on the BFT is at a fair lick and, if I remember correctly there's an RM back-marker running with you and that you must finish ahead of him to pass. I don't think the times are deliberately altered but there may well be some variance. Either way we cannot afford to have 7 failing on the run.

I have also heard this but its not much of an excuse, Surly? For your PJFT I suppose its forgivable but you should be rocking up at PRMC with ability to run out at average pace and still nail the return. That being said, I havnt completed either yet so I'll sit down!
