I am on this one lads, Get me on the group chat
Wicked mate will do
Bit of a late one guys do you mind chucking me in the group chat if it's not too late
You lads all feeling prepared then?
(- I’m not on this PRMC just seeing how everybody is feeling.)
If anybody has any questions about the PRMC and hasn’t already found the answer(s) fire away and I’ll do my best to answer them.
Feeling as good and confident as I can at the minute and do you know the sort of routine on arrival up until the first day??
So on arrival it’s basically a case of being shown your rooms and meeting the other lads as well as your PRMC training team, you’ll more than likely be called out to the corridor a few times and later that evening be allowed to go to the galley for dinner. Before the end of the night you will be given your detail for the morning. Be up at 0500-0530 to clean the rooms and corridor, shower by 0600-0630 and breakfast at 0700 etc.
Wicked mate thanks for that
No problem, you will also likely receive coloured bibs too. This will be to identify individuals during the physical elements of the BFT and RMFA.
On a separate note lads, I wish you all the best of luck and a few things to bare in mind before you go. If you pass the BFT and the RMFA then you have the fitness to pass the rest of the course, that said it will be extremely demanding and there will be a little bit of discomfort. The latter is emphasised on the endurance course, this course is designed not only to test your physical endurance but your mental endurance too once you start getting a few knocks on your arms and legs here and there from the rocks. Just remember that you’re there and you’re leaving the next day. Either with that pass certificate or with regret. DONT WRAP.
Anything in particular to revise for the core knowledge test
From my understanding they try and mix it up a bit from time to time so the same questions aren’t always asked. However definitely learn the 10 VC achievers and why they achieved their VCs, the battle of bunker hill, the date the RM were formed. I’d also say to study up on current/recent operations too.
How did you lads get on?
I passed mate @PRMH
