How are you finding recruit training mate?
Yeah good mate, a lot of second hand fun (hating it at the time but looking back and thinking "yeah, that was alright". Phase 2 is just a different ball game though, the learning curve is ridiculous at times!
Super mate. I'm hopefully starting recruit training come summer time. Any tips?
Make sure you actually want to be there, the mental robustness required is far, far more important than your physical ability.
Cheers for the advice mate!! What would you say has been hardest for you so far?
I'm only week 8 but I can definitely back this up 100%. At times it doesn't matter how fit you are but when you haven't slept for 3 days, you've been given the veggie ration pack and all you've had for breakfast is muesli and a boiled sweet it all comes down to how mentally strong you are and whether you can put that behind you and crack on regardless.
Am I the only who likes the muesli?!
It's alright but 10 minutes later I'm hungry again
Better than mushroom omelette
Also the Bean Pasta does my head in absolute nightmare to get through
If you make the muesli with hot water then its decent!
@ERFC agreed, bean pasta is the worst with the chili tuna one a close second, that oil is disgusting!
Has anyone had the Lamb Tagine one? Had this on Baptist Run- absolutely incredible.
I like the bean pasta and chilli tuna.
Lamb Tagine is good too! Messy though
Hardest for me was probably the load carry after Baptist Walk, I dunno, the whole of training is a series of nightmares to be honest!
Is there a medical on PRMC? And if so what's included?
We just got weighed mate
nice and easy!!
