If during Officer Training I get past the 32 week mark and become a fully trained commando, but then fail on something after that will I be able to be a Commando instead of an Officer? Or will I have to do it all again ?

Sir,

What happens to your beret? Surely you've earned it just like anybody else up to that point?

Yeah, that's what I thought, and if you fail YO training you can't become a Marine at all? Even if you quit and do RT from the start ?

You get told to bugger off. Unfortunately if you fail as a YO you're not allowed to try RT. It makes sense as you've already failed.

I'm just wondering if they strip you of your beret as well.

haha true, so what's the scenic route? RT followed by two years as general duties followed by YO ? That's a *text deleted**text deleted*ing mission but I think that's what I'm *text deleted* do *text deleted*.
