Rib gone Awol

Hi guys, for a bout 2 1/2 years i've had a feeling of discomfort in the lower left abdomen. About 3 weeks ago i went to the doctor and he gave me tablets for bowel spasms, only problem was the tablets didnt work. I've been back today and told him i think its a Rib so he had a feel around and made me cough a few times to confirm it. He told me that one of my ribs is moving around slightly and not a hernia or anything, though this does not cause me any pain or physical disabilities im worried that they might pick up on it when i decide to apply. I am about to start preparing so hopefully it might go away.

Any thoughts or any other info would be greatly appreciated.
