Riding

I currently Mountain Bike and do a lot of road riding and im wodnering if this is helping or hindering my training. I know it helps my cardio but since i have been riding every time i run i seem to get tight calfs. I had this problem previously and stretching heps but im wondering if the riding is contributing to this. I currently ride everyday while i only run every 2 or 3 days

does anyone know if the riding would effect my running?

i do a lot of off road mountain biking, and while i can say my running fitness hasn't improved greatly its still good for stamina and strength and hill running, just not speed. but also it is good to cycle more than run in a way because then you reduce your chances of a running injury accouring. So basically its fine, just dont run less than 3 times a week.
