Being part of the RN, do the Royal Marines share the RN drill? I know the RM salute army-style, but what about the rest of it...?

I know there's also a bit of silent drill at the passing out parade. Don't know how consistant that it.

Anyone else think Navy salute is far sharper then Army?

pretty much all drill is identlicle within the forces... just different words of command, i was a sergeant in the Air Cadets for 4.5 years and the drill i learnt and taught is just the same as RM, from left and right turns to the salute and eyes right, everything is the same.

the Navy however may differ slightly as they do their drill on a boat, or well, their drill must be suitable to able to be practiced on a boat without breaking it so they slide their feet instead of stamp, (the RM also follow this as they are part of the Navy) the army too are following the sliding thing (apparently but i cant see that happenning) the RAF however still stamp their feet upon completion of a command
