Rope Training

This seems to be a big part of training, and it might help getting a good head start ahead of other people, as well as increase overall body strength. Anyone by any rope and throw it up anywhere by chance ?.

Im going to the hardware store next week to pick some up. Anyone else do anything similar ?

I genuinely wouldn't recommend it TY, if someone even falls from 5ft then it could do them serious injury. This could be caused by not fixing a rope to something correctly or using a bad technique.

Bit of a compromise might be the ones the gyms have, where you are sat down and pulling the rope which is on a circuit. Same kind of thing but will build only your arms and not the legs. Legs can be built by doing the sit ups correctly as shown in the prmc booklets.

I second them. When you get to lympstone you start on the ropes in the first week and you have 9 weeks to crack 3 climbs, dont worrie about it there are far more important things you need to get on top of.
