Good afternoon all, I'm just curious whether the royal marines are open to taking forward air control courses at all?

I understand that this task is generally handled by the RAF regiment, but just curious if it is an option. Thanks!

There are a few positions available for JTACs but I'd not bank a career choice on becoming one.

There has been a previous thread on this before, but I’ve spoken to one of the instructors at the school and the requirements are that your L/Cpl by the time you start the JAA, which is a pre assessment to see if your suitable for the school. However, there is a RM C/Sgt currently as an instructor down there who’s helping them change the joint fires model for the RM because of the FCF so it’s likely it will change, Although your better off waiting till your through training before worrying about this.
