I've finally decided to pop down a specialist running shop have my feet tested and get myself a proper pair of running shoes to suit my running. I decided this because i was going to go balls out on a 1.5 miler to see what my best time is. But i run a bloody centimetre and my shins, ankles and feet kill! Also i don't think it was too clever to go balls out because my normal 1.5 miler is between 13 mins and 13:30. I tried Fartlek the other day done the 10 min jog as a warmup when to do the first 1 minute sprint and was nearly dead! I guess slow distance runs are the order of the day for a while. Not too beneficial for the actual Marines but i ain't good enough yet to register competitive times:sad:

Don't worry about it mate,
all Marines had to start running before they got in,
and they might not have been that great,
fair play on getting proper running shoes,
will help a lot.

Yeah mate but i didn't want to come on here and sound like i was moaning over a bit of pain i mean because if you can't take pain then don't be a marine. So cheers for taking it the way i hoped.

I love the smell of new running trainers in the morning :p How much did it cost you at the specialist, I keep thinking of poping and inquiring but I'm pretty happy with my Asics and MaxAir at the moment.
