    Yep.

The SBS(R) accept trained rank, former regular service badged UKSF personnel up until age 34.

There are exceptions for badged SF personnel depending on currency, specific skillset, rank and requirement. I've processed trained rank SF re-entrants significantly older than 34, but for SBS(R), unless you have previous service as a trained rank Royal Marine or are a recently serving badged Regular SF trooper/'operative' the odds are that very, very few individuals joining the RMR as a recruit, beyond age 31 would even get a sniff of UKSF(R) selection with a view to joining SBS(R).

Thanks for the clarification. It seems SAS(R) would be an option until 35, however...but nowhere near as 'cool' as SBS.

Even cooler, you could join as a Stoker up to your 37th birthday upon date of entry....if you are hard enough.

Just out of interest, do the SBS(R) only take applications from trained RMR/Ex-Regs or do they also accept them from other Reserve units as well?
