I don't believe so, but it has to be granted before you can start Recruit Training.

You can do your PRMC without it, but you need it to either be allocated an RT date, or to start RT. Either both or the second...

Fresh applications are not being accepted for Security Clearance until after 10th April.

For re-joins full SC must be granted before a joining date is allocated. For first-timers, as long as SC is started & preliminary checkscompete a waiver can be granted & an entry date allocated.

An entry date, before anyone asks, cannot be requested until after passing PRMC.

would say, former army service be classed as a first timer joining the Royal Marines for the SC rule. Would it need granting before starting RT, in that situation. Thanks in advance.

Former Army service counts as a "rejoin" & SC must be granted prior to the allocation of an entry date.

Thanks for clearing that up. Was a silly question really, just hope it doesn't hold up entry, after hopefully a successfull PRMC...
