how can i do these better?

what techniques do you guys use?

I use the gap under the sofa. I put my weights on the arm of it, so it doesn't raise up when I do a situp.

i use my t,v stand mostly *text deleted*, theres 2 shelfs for holding dvd player etc, and the bottom shelf has an inch before the floor which is handy, pair of slippers fills it out

My feet just stay on the floor anyway.....keep them down and do it slowly, it'll only take you a day or two to not be able to put anything on them any more.

I have this problem too

it really pisses me off because it feels like i'm working my thighs more than my abs. some sets it feels like i haven't even done a single sit up

I usually use dumbbells,
easy to move around,
and as they're pretty heavy they stay where they are.
