i was just wondering how long you have to be a marine before you can specialise as a PTI? or wether or nt u av2 be a corperal. etc?

and how long it takes to train as a PTI?

i think u need to have been there for about 4/5 years unless *text deleted* an officer not sure about how long officers have to wait

Thought it was about 2 years?

And it depends on your specialisation,
because for some you need to be corporal,
and some you don't.

I think you could do the pti course as a lance corporal and then you would be promoted to corporal if you passed the course. Usually, you would serve for 2 years as a general duties marine before you woud specialise unless there was a manpower shortage in a particular branch

So does that mean if there is a manpower shortage in a particular branch,
you'd be shifted into them,
no ifs, no buts,
could you later change your specialisation if you had been forced into one?

I think if there is a shortage they will ask for volunteers for that specialisation and you would train for it when you finish RT instead of doing 2 years general duties first
