Speed of this site

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if any of you have noticed site issues recently, namely that of the site being a bit slow at times.

Not sure if it is just my pm but sometimes it can take about 13 seconds for pages to appear and I'm on about 20 gig broadband so pretty sure it ain't that.

It might be the hosting and if so I can get it sorted, or it might just be my pc.

Before you ask, no it isn't the porn that is slowing it down. ops:

my computer is slow, but i am pretty sure that IS because of porn. i use the site at work and have never had any trouble with it at all

yep don't get me wrong, the porn is probably slowing me down, not sure about my computer though

Make sure you do regular disk defragments on your computer to allow quick access to files on your computer and disk cleanups on Crive to get rid of cookies from websites which will speed things up on the loading side of websites.

I've had no problems with the site and I come on here several times a day.

99% of the time been fine, but, like PAgreenwell, sometimes doesn't show new posts

I'll have a look into what you guys have mentioned, the phpbb system that we use is showing an update available.

I've got to do a bit of backing up before I attempt to install it as not had a go at it yet. Last thing I want to do is bring the site offline for a few days.

But database is backed up most nights, so will be o.k somehow, probably, well I'll try my best :*text deleted*: :*text deleted*:
