    Hi all,
I'm hopefully going to be getting to RT while i'm 16 and I was wondering, if I pass out of RT before I'm 18 does my service count until i'm 18?
So does my service count when I pass out at 16 or does it count at 18.
Is there any difference between joining at 16 and at 18?

I think he's refering to the bonus you get (or something like that) after 5 years service and whether or not the 2 years before he is 18 will count. I think they are but hopefully someone can clarify.

I think i know what you mean. Your maximum length of service is either til your 40, or for 18 years, which ever is later. So if you join at 16 and pass out, you've got 24 years of potential service. Whereas if someone joined at 30, they'd have 18 years, and finish their service at 48.
