What effect is this likely to have, generally speaking?

I reckon, as figurative head of the Corps, Harry is a good shout for Phil the Greek's successor. Apart from the hair. Obvs.

Let's face it, at least no-one was daft enough to suggest Rolf as a successor to Sir Jimmy. :)

Anyone know if he's going to have to leave this role?? How has it been received in the corps?

Standing down from all honorary military roles apparently.

Alan
Yep, seems so.

Interestingly the press are STILL squeezing the last ounce of profit out of this, despite missing the fact they are seemingly the root cause of the circumstances that have arisen because of their actions.

Whilst certainly not a staunch advocate of the monarchy, the fact remains it's something they are born into, regardless of their wishes the constitution demands it. Yes, they have state-sponsored wealth, but equally the cost & state responsibility doesn't go away when individuals no longer want to be part of it for their own family health & wellbeing based on their own experiences. A difficult shout, but one that takes a good deal of moral courage.

My impression is that on the whole, the Armed Forces community, certainly on social media platforms, has a great deal of respect for Prince Harry, regardless of the turn of events.
