The Push-up Challenge!!

Alright Gentlemen,

I was sitting in my room getting bored and decided to try and spice up the exercise challenges.

Competition breeds improvement!

Here's the challenge:

100 consecutive Marine style (elbows in) push-ups. No knees on the floor, only rest position allowed is arse in the air. You may rest as long as you like but the whole thing must be timed!

Here are the results for my first attempt:

03:33.3

Hopefully other people can put up more challenges and ideas on here.

Please try to be honest!

Next Challenge:

20 secs of press-ups,
followed by 10 secs rest

Repeat this 8 times
Add up total amount of press-ups completed in the 8 20 sec work periods
160 is the score to aim for...

Hehe blocky...not meaning to be an arse but I just did it...4 times consecutively.

It's a brilliant exercise! Thanks a lot.

Why don't you guys try the US army Ranger push up challenge. Its 1000 military pushups as quickly as possible paying careful attention to form. They set a limit of 4 hours but lads should beat that easily!

my time: 74 minutes, and I'm battling to type at the mo :)

1000 marine press ups in 4 hours?
Did you mean 100?
I don't think I could do 1000 marine press ups in 2 days.

10 pressups every minute for an hour works out at 600, its a good excersise but kills you're wrists.

Nice crackhour, never thought of breaking it down like that. I just kept going, had to rest at 70 then bashed out the others painfully.

Hehe you've raised the bar now I've got to try it your way, here we go!
