The only dodgy bit looks to be the whip aerial on the Viking, other than that, what could possibly go wrong with a Jet Pack 3's course?

When three would-be robbers stormed into a County Cork bookmakers, they did not bet on facing a formidable 85-year-old.

Wow, brave chap. Don't try this at home, kids.

Reminds me of one of the classic newspaper headlines in the Irish press: "Cork Man Drowns".

shouldn't people who *text deleted* go trans be checked mentally first...
also its getting to the point where people push the idea of transgender being this brilliant thing everyone should love and accept instead of seeing it as mental health issues and making it okay for people not to accept themselves.

There are several serving men/women who have trans over, (whatever the phrase is), and all classed as good all round soldiers etc, so not really an issue.

My guess is that a trans gender will be the first to cut the mustard on any "arduous" training, thereby giving the politicians the avenue for them to proclaim that the programme has been a success.

On a general note rather than specifically addressing the arguable topic of suitability for military service:

I confess that my initially negative views on the matter changed after I met and got to know a transgender person. Funnily enough she doesn't consider her 'trans status' as being anything to celebrate. She just wants to quietly get on with her life without being discriminated against or being subjected to violent physical assault.

i understand that, does it really count for much though if its trans people who happen to potentially be the first to finish any form of arduous training i mean you see all these blokes who "change" gender and completely dominate in women's sporting events etc., i guess what i am trying to get at here is, is it really fair to say if a trans person finishes training it shows women can do it too? cheers.

i know of trans people too and are lovely people, but to be honest although i still do not 100% agree with it, if they're happy so be it.

What counts is, if the person alongside you can do the job that they've been trained for. I've long finished my time in the Corps, but when I was on ops the only thing that I cared about was that everyone on that patrol was capable of doing the job that they were trained for.

Nowadays, I would assume that the same mantra will apply to those currently serving, whatever gender that person may be.

My old man always told me, “If a jobs worth doing, it’s worth doing well.”

To that end, backing over a couple times would be worth the petrol.

Ah yes, but ecologically, you'd be burning more fossil fuels and killing dolphins.

    Bludgeoning is more eco, dude.
