How the person I'm working with today fought with Rhodesian Security Forces during the countries 'civil' war. He's so softly spoken and quiet I would never have guessed at all. Especially considering he now works in health care.

Perhaps it's not all that surprising, but it amazed me.

There are a lot of them around... and the ones that saw more, say less

The training plan followed by Bekele to set the world record in the 5000 metres, in 2004, which still stands (12:37.35), thats 4:04/mile pace. Staggering speed!

To give an idea, at that pace, that’d be a 6:06 1.5 mile return! :)

@Corona Impressive stuff. A woman on a spacewalk.
Arguably the most sustained physically and mentally demanding ordeal that the human species has endured.

Just thought I’d share this snippet from the 60s of PE in a Californian Highschool, I could swear that I was looking at clips of RT in Lympstone.

just comes to show how some things that work really don’t need to be changed. I’ve always been a big fan of old school training regimes so was really surprised to come across this.

Topsham TV? Who’d have thought that Topsham had its own YouTube channel?

An all-too-short historic clip of a T2 Harrier doing a fly past of Topsham, CTCRM and Lympstone Village.

Apparently media wonks call this ‘product placement’.
Take note at 2:14.

Arguably still a good tune, particularly for those of a certain age:

More from Topsham TV.
FA-2 Sea Harrier flight deck ops on HMS Illustrious. The harnessed energy of those machines was amazing to watch. Unsure how much it cost per second to keep one airborne.
