I know that toilet block very well! Bugis Street Singapore, circa 1970. A couple of matelots/bootnecks doing the dance of the flaming *text deleted*s! Class cabaret acts back then!

My dogs calender looked like that up until the day his undescended testicle went rotten! Then it was 'mourn missing knackers' day for a few weeks

For those hopeless romantics who 'love' a bargain try your local 99p store... or pick one up for 10p tomorrow.

Fair enough. To be honest I usually opt for Poundland over the 99p Store because the quality of the product is worth paying the extra for.

I've never understood Valentine's day, a complete mystery to me. My Mrs is fully aware of my thoughts on it.

Why on earth would you raise your game on one day of the year? Look love, this is what it could be like the other 364 days if I could be bothered.

Much better to beat the hell out of each other as a warning of what the other 364 days could be like if she doesn't behave.

My personal opinion is that the fourteenth of February is the laziest, lamest day of the year to publicly or privately declare one's affection for another. Arguably any other day of the year makes such gestures more significant.

Why not be kind, thoughtful, tolerant of quirks, and appreciative of the charms of others for all 364.24 days of each year?

The US have an even more commercialised take on valentine's day, so I'm told. Apparently they give cards to ALL their friends - how devisive is that?!

Seems an expensive way to let someone know you don't like them.
