Tight Calf Muscle

hey
did an intense training program 9 months ago and towards the end i started getting knee pains and my calves got really tight, felt solid even after stretching off.
recently i started training again and my right calf has become really tight. i was told it was a knot in my muscle which needed to be worked out.
was wondering if anyone else on here has experienced a similar problem at all?

Got back to a Pyhsio and get it checked. Could be a tight muscle,or it could be somthing like compartment syndrome. Get some propper advice mate.

TRy and get a sports massage maybe

Aye, in my town you can get deep tissue massages and acupuncture which is apparently good for athletes, never had it myself.

I'd see a physio before something like a massage.
tight calf muscle can also be related to lower back problems (which you dont know you have), to do with the nerve being pinched or trapped. Twas problem I had.

ok interesting, will get myself along to the doctor to book some physio asap then!
also heard that sports massages are worth getting if you are doing a lot of hard training however havent had one myself so couldnt vouch for this personally!
