There was a BBC documentary of Op Telic and they were following a Tornado Crew, the crew of the Tornado didn't come back because the Yanks mistook them for an incoming missile. The pressure on the ground crew running these things must be intense.

Iran must feel a bit embarrassed that even up until last night that key figures were 100% sure that it wasn't shot down.

President Trump has normalised Post Truth and Alt-Facts.

The notion of holding powerful people and institutions to account for blatant lying is a thing of the past.

Funny how there’s more outrage about a terrorist being taken out, than an airliner with hundreds of civilians on it...

Yep, Iranian news channels seem to have missed this, although they did admit unrest:

Then again, the BBC are pretty selective about which protests are broadcast as news in UK, too.

To be honest I'm usually very open minded but I'm not sure I buy the Iranian version of what happened. It's one thing to shoot down what you think is a enemy aircraft, but to claim this was a cruise missile is a bit far fetched?

Cruise missile flying away and climbing - in line with an airport?

Fortunately someone has taken the time to clarify what's going on in the Middle East. Thank goodness:
