hey i was wondering can u try get a commission after being a marine for a bit ? thats what i was hoping of doing if anyone got some info im all ears

Yes gaining a commission whilst serving is possible, there are a number of threads relating to the discussion you can find them using the search function.

ye but if you fail a corps commision you have to leave the marines:worried:

I hope that was sarcasm there gary ;)

You don't have to leave, you just don't get the commision.
Only time you have to reapply to OR after failing anything officer, is initial entry.

No thats wrong, if you fail your corps commission then you have to leave. Argue all you wish, but the facts won't change.

Cant see it being changed, if you have made corporal or higher and had command training and are one of the 3-4 people given the opportunity to go for an officer commission there is really little to no reason for you to fail I would think.

I do however disagree with being made to leave the Marines due to that failure though.

what would it class as? honourable discharge? what? surely you couldn't loose military pension (5/8+ years) etc for it?
