@StrSam I was expecting the worst after reading quiet a few negative comments. But from the time we supplied them with the specialist report, to receiving the email to say he had been cleared and could continue his application was literally 13 days. So pretty impressive

I think it's just relative to the person and their medical history; My medical took about a year altogether! They missed the emails my doctor sent apparently.

Glad to hear yours was quicker, and best of luck with your Pjft.

Would anyone be able to give me the contact details/website/email of Capita. I'm in the early stages of the process and I want to try and speed it up by getting this stuff done early.....also are there any other documents/clearances one needs (besides police clearance).

There's not much point contacting them, they contact you.

To speed things up, you should obtain copies of all medical records relating to all conditions declared on the medical questionnaire ...and return them all together with your completed medical questionnaire and eyetest form. That way, they don't need to write to your GP and add weeks/months of unnecessary delay, pain or angst.

Type in capita contact number on Google and ring the general enquiries number, theyll answer in seconds then ask then to put you through to navy medicals. They'll help you or enlighten you with whatever your worried about or tell you what you can do to speed things up. I was made tmu at the triage call for a list of things, sent over the notes from my gp which were to be reviewed by a capita Dr on the Saturday just gone. Called capita Monday expecting to be pmu and start the appeal process, she said the Dr has passed you on the review of your gp notes and then offered me a load of dates and locations for a face to face which I've got on the 4th May. It was the gp notes which looked bad, I'm not really worried about the face to face. The Dr will see what a fine specimen I am haha

i can fully understand the frustration that some have felt in the recruitment process involving capita not in anyway to undermine those that have had an imperfect experience it is worth bearing in mind that no one entrusted to carry out the various stages is intentionally attempting to hold up or delay the process.the recruitment process is what it is it was a new way of recruitment to outsource and with all new ventures it would undoubtedly have teething trouble as has been stated.being well mannered in all correspondence in the journey will get you everywhere certainly a first step on the road in becoming a commando.
