Hey, I've been circuit training using the royal marines method for around a month and I can bang out about 35-40 press ups, is there any specific weight exercises I can do to increase my reps? (dumbells or barbell) because I would appreciate some variation.

Regards,
Tom

Of course Tom,

Primarily the shoulders, chest and upper back should be worked to aid press ups.

Although you should be aiming for endurance training for these muscles not hypertrophy, (Increased muscle mass). So higher reps with a medium weight, not lower reps with a high weight.

Something like some bent over rows, bit of light bench work and some military and shoulder press.

If you need anymore information then you can PM me or see what the other guys on the forum reckon.

cheers
