So I´m thinking of applying soon but I´d like to know what Royal Marines normally do once they leave the armed forces, what sort of jobs can they get and how would they fit in to a civilian lifestyle?

    Thanks.

I remember there being a post from a few years back on this forum that had a list of jobs and statistics for employment after you leave, plus the marines have organisations that help get you work based on your skills and qualifications.

At the end of the day it’s down to you, the spec you pick, plenty of graft and a bit of luck. You only get out what you put in.

Chose your spec carefully and talk to people that are doing it, don’t just believe the hype you could be dissapointed

What do you mean by hype, is being a royal marine not as good as people portray it?

Unfortunately being a royal doesn’t mean you can leave the corps and walk into a hoofing job, however I’d like to think it opens a few doors..
