what was the maximum u could do before u started training and what can u do now in these exercises?
pull ups
press ups
sit ups
squats
lunges
triceps dips

first started 6mnths ago, 17.9 stone 6ft2.

pull ups 0
press ups (marine style) 3
sit ups 30
squats 20
lunges 20
triceps dips 20

now 15.9 stone.

pull ups 3
press ups 40
sit ups 50
squats 60
lunges 70
triceps dips 90

still a way to go yet, but progress isnt bad! hope it helps mate.

how did u manage to do that many press ups when *text deleted* 1st max was 3. what is the difference between press ups and marine style press ups?

Been training 4 months, I'm 5ft 8 and 65/67kg (big poo or little poo, it depends).

Pull ups - 9
Press ups - 45
Sit ups - 60
Squats - Never did more than 40 in a full program, not the kinda thing you max out on in my books.
Lunges - Same again would usually do 40 each leg in a program
Triceps dips - 55

Now..

Pull ups - 14
Press ups - 83
Sit ups - 81
Triceps dips - 120.

Situps never really improved that much but in general my arms have always been strong, it took me about a month to get upto standard as I'm naturally sexy.. I mean determined.

*text deleted* yea i am a big old unit, built like a brick *text deleted**text deleted*house more disadvantages than advantages unfortunatly *text deleted*, well i have to loose 4 pounds, been a couple of weeks now so i think ive done it, harder to loose weight now tho, the first 2 stone fell off, but i cant even remeber the last time i weighed 15 stone so i think ive hit my natural build, so its *text deleted* harder to loose it now.


how did u manage to do that many press ups when *text deleted* 1st max was 3. what is the difference between press ups and marine style press ups?

just kept on doin sets of 3 mate, all the time and they naturaly improve, marine style is close grip hands right under you, and elbows tucked in, completely different ball game to normalpress ups so dont be surprised if you cant do alot when your try them.

Im 5ft 9(172cm) , 60-63kgs

First started training i could do :-


Pressups - 10 Max
Situps - 30 Max
Pullups - 3 Max
1.5M Run - 11-12 Minutes

Now im at

Pressups - 50
Situps - 90
Pullups - 15
1.5M Run - 9-9:58 [ Depends on the weather/were i run. The 9:58 was on a field with 4" of snow and in the middle of a snow storm hence the just made it time *text deleted* )

I did my best effor press ups,sit ups and pull ups sunday evening after a 10min jog.

Press ups-20
Sit ups-45
Pull ups-5

At the start of my training this is what i can remember my max being

pull ups - 0
press ups - 25 (close arm)
sit ups - 50
squats - never done enough to reach max
lunges - same as above
triceps dips - id say about 20

Now my results have obviously changed but not greatly.

pull ups - 3 overhand
press ups - 40 (but on 2 mins i max out at 55 and collaps)
sit ups - 80 to 100 (havn't tested properly yet)
squats - same as previous but i can do over 100 easy
lunges - same as previous
triceps dips - 50
