Will climbing get to the right muscles?

I used to be really good at climbing, I could lead an f9, but I was wondering if climbing would train the right sort of muscles? Or would I be better of focusing more on running and other more basic forms of exercise?

climbing would be good for upper body strength and stamina but i'd have thought you'd get more benefit to CV and lower body from running.

You could do both CV and climbing...

It would definitely help with upper body strength, as well as balance.

Alot of upperbody strength will benefit you massivly in RT, provided your cardio is upto scratch with running and HII Training, believe me.
