    4 x 400m resets. 3 mins rest between.
    Pace 6.05 min / mi.

Feels bad after losing fitness and being this slow again but just *text deleted* keep try progressing.

New trainers just came which I eventually hope to do the 1.5 mile in under 9 minutes in!
These are trail trainers the last few pairs I’ve had have been new balance trails which are always very cheap (These £35) but have always found them great on any surface so hoping these are going to be just as good if not better!

    New workout for the week.

Dropping to a harder resistance band as I’m sein improvement their quicker than I thought I would so will see how this goes.

I’m only doing 1x 1.5 mile run on the Friday added a (1.4mile run back instead of cycling) reason being I’m going to just see if I can handle the pace of a sub 12.00 so I can work on my pace for it.

Added a pyramid for the press/sit-ups so overall getting a few reps in and just trying to get the body used to them.

Goals for the next 4 weeks.

    1.Get to 13 stone 5 (14.1 currently)

    2.Get 12.30 then 11.00 on bft format

    3. All to bleep
    40 press-ups
    60 sit-ups

    4.Level 10 bleep test

    5.Complete 1 pull up

Might not be giving giving myself enough time but I believe the way I’ve been improving week by week going to attempt all these and see how I fare.

I’m realistic I know I wont achieve max scores I’m not someone who is genetically a machine or comes from that sort of background and has to work very hard to improve in any area so getting as close as possible is what I’m trying to achieve.

`I will test everything at the end of the 4th week and post it on here to see how I did.

For all intents and purposes a 10k PB last night at 41:20.

I got 37 mins when I was 17 but can't really count that as it was 8 years ago! So just measuring based off my more recent phys over the last year or so.

    Today: 5sets of vPJFT+

Could have gone into a 6th but I’ll do that next week. Better to progress gradually than jump the gun

    Tomorrow: Hilly 3miler best effort

    • 25 Press-ups (to bleep)
    • 25 Sit-ups (to bleep)
    • 25 BW Squats
    • 13 Single-Arm floor press with 20kg kettlebell (each side, 26 reps total)
    • 1 min Plank
    Repeat x 2

Did the first 25 press ups in one go, to the bleep as well! That's a new official max for me so very happy with that. On the second set though i got to 17 and on the 18th rep i got to the point where i had literally nothing left and i couldn't lock my arms out - subsequently faceplanted on the floor -banghead-

Finding that the Single-arm floor press is really exposing that my left side is much weaker than my right - I can do 13+ easily with my right side but with my left i start seriously struggling at 11-12 and usually have to take a short break to complete the reps

Completed 2x 1.5mile runs bot under 13.00 so was pleased with that.

    First run - 12.52

    Second run - 12.48

I felt good up until the last 800m of the second run shoulders started tightening and I had to put more effort in but the head wind didn’t help.

I probably shouldn’t have wore the new trainers either without breaking them in first my right ankle is pretty sore since I got back!

    3x 3 and 7x 2 resistance band pull-ups in the heavy rain

tried doing the dead hangs but wasn’t possible just kept slipping off the pull up bar!

Typing this from said cold bath I realise I'm either tougher or fatter than I used to be because it's quite underwhelming and was nice to get into!

VPJFT practice this morning. My TMU finally got lifted and AFCO are booking the real thing as soon as poss.

Now going to do some strength, not feeling 100% 'in the game' today so will just make it up as I go along and see what I get done.

Question doing bodyweight exercises with the time rest inbetween?

    I just did.

    Pressups - 25 , 20 ,15 ,10 , 5

I was having around 90sec rest after each lot is that to much?

I’m not used to doing this many reps as a total so when people do these do they have a rest inbetween or just jump straight into the next lot?
