Surely they would just delay the forming of the troop if that was the case?

Good idea.. "I'd like to delay my RT as I need to recover from my latest alien abduction"

What's probably happened is they were topping up 967 & 968 Troops, realised the numbers were such that they could all be lumped into one troop. Those initially assigned for 967 were then put in 968. As 968 already existed & 969 was probably beginning to be loaded up, it would be easier just to cancel 967.

Hope that makes sense, I need a lie-down as I've just confused myself.

yeh that makes sense to me.. however i wouldn't have been able to say it any easier

967 troop had 10 apps
968 troop had 20 apps
969 troop had 20 apps
RM thought, mix 967+968 to get 30 in one go
967 was cancelled to get 968

was that any easier? NO *text deleted*
also laying down now..
